Activity Leadership NVQ
Who is the course for?
The course is designed for those coming into, or already in the coaching industry and covers all aspects of coaching to a nationally recognised standard.
Are there any pre-requisites?
- Students should have some experience of coaching or be able to show a strong personal commitment to coaching
- A good level of literacy and numeracy is essential
What will i learn?
The course consists of 7 mandatory units:
- Dealing with accidents and emergencies
- Contributing to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Improve own and organisational practice
- Contribute to effective working relationships
- Prepare and lead activities
- Facilitate participation in activities
Conclude activities and support the development of sport / activity
How is the course structured?
The course is delivered over 36 weeks.
The programme also includes:
- UK Sports Leaders Award in Community Sports Leadership
- HSE First Aid at Work
- CRB Certificate
When is the next course?
10 September 2007, at the college’s Charlton Athletic FC Campus (until around December 2007) and the college’s Eltham Centre (from around January 2008.)
