what is the sports talent scheme?
London Leisure College has 3 academy teams that are all linked to top professional clubs. Men’s Football, Women’s Football and Men’s Rugby Union are all offered with extensive coaching structured around a full time academic program. We have developed performance teams who participate in some of the top Colleges and Schools competitions.
Current offer (for 16 - 19 year olds)
- Ladies Football (Academy Status) in partnership with Charlton Athletic Football Club
- Mens Rugby Union in partnership with Blackheath Rugby Club
- Mens Football in partnership with Charlton Athletic Football Club
What you get
As a member of the Academy, you will receive an exceptionally high standard of coaching and have specialist conditioning from the professional coaches. Access to physiotherapists at the clubs is also available. There are also opportunities for students to take their coaching badges with some students gaining part-time employment in the clubs community coaching programs.

Eligibility
Students must be enrolled onto full time academic courses to be eligible for the academies. The College offers a comprehensive provision of Sport and Leisure Courses that meets the needs of individuals and employers in the local area.
The academy has a structure that enables students to maximise their sporting and academic potential.
